So I told her that I had to wear glasses when I was in school and we found an old photo of me and my first pair of glasses. WOW! I know that they were in style back in the day but the frames seem to be larger than my face and they were dark brown (tortoise shell) to be exact. I thought back in high school that I was at least in the latest fashion but there is no way looking back on that old photo. My duaghter got a good a laugh and it made her feel better about wearing her glasses during class.

We are actually looking to stay with a group of guys that have invested in Hilton Head rentals units that sleep 8 and offer some great locations.This year they have invited me to come along for a four days of golfing mecca.The package they have normally gotten includes golfing at least three times a day with green fees, carts, caddies, and ball. Now mind you that I usually shoot in the upper 90′s I was hesitant to take on this challenge. Besides I can stay at home and pay $30 and be just as frustrated.

The eastern half is the younger and larger part of the island with Mount Haleakala as it’s volcano. This side of Maui is both wetter and drier than the western side of the island. It is wetter on the Northern shore and drier on the Southern shore. The North side of the island is not the tourist section, but the road to Hana is famous. I would definitely consult the local travel guide for suggestions on times and modes of transportation for your trip. This is a tropical drive that you need to take at least once. With all the rain you get on this part of the island, you will see numerous waterfalls and will be on a road that has over 500 hairpin turns and 50 one lane bridges. The trip is 52 miles long, but will take from 2 to 4 hours to make on highway 360 (Hana Highway).
