Taking over the counter meds

I would say, if you are going to take any medication, whether over-the-counter or prescription, make sure you read about the side-effects, the drug interactions (i.e. what happens when you take the new drug with the ones you are already on) and the contra-indications (situations where you should absolutely not take the drug). You should pay special attention to headache treatment options because many may contain ingredients that could interact with your current prescription drugs.
With access to the internet, information on almost any drug is easy to find. Do not just read what the drug company producing the drug has written about it, but have a look at what users of the drug have said too. It will hopefully enable you to make an informed decision about what you put inside your body.
