Sermons on Sunday, Have I heard this elsewhere

In an article that appeared in the Wall Street Journal, they talked about sites that are dedicated to providing morning sermons for pastors and clergymen. The problem they were discussing is that some men of the cloth would download the teachings, without giving full disclosure to the person who actually wrote the lesson. Some of the teachings can be downloaded for free, while there are services that actually sell the sermons for $10 and up. It now makes me wonder where my pastor gets his sermons from and is he claiming the proper references. Obviously in the Christian faith, the lessons are taught from the bible, so that information is there for the taking. It is the anecdotal stories that get told along with the sermon are what are coming under question. Are pastors plagiarizing, without giving proper credit? How many times can you talk about the Last Supper, and create a new inspiring lesson, that will impact the congregation.
So this Christmas season, when everyone packs into the churches listen closely to the teachings and see if you notice anything different. Maybe pastors and clergyman should be sharing more and this would allow them more time to spend with the congregation and the community.
